Toontastic ($1.99) (The following skills and many more can be targeted using this app:  Turn taking, cooperation/group work, sharing ideas/compromising, perspective taking, identifying the intentions and motives of others, making predictions and providing appropriate background knowledge.)

Stories 2 Learn ($13.99) (Easy to use app for developing social stories with real life photos, written text and audio presentation of social story)

Conversation Builder ($5.99) (Teaches conversational skills and pragmatics, increases awareness of contextual cues, works on making appropriate predictions and identifying facial expressions using real life photos with same-aged peers)

Super Duper Apps (I just found a bunch of social skills apps put out by Super Duper that look really convenient and inexpensive.  There are currently 16 available apps for the iPad put out by Super Duper.  I’ve been spending nearly $10-$15 to buy decks of these cards.  How great to have them the same day on my iPad for cheaper!  I will update you with a review of each one once I have used them in therapy a bit more.  But for now, they have definitely made my list.  Here’s a few of my favorites:

Practicing Pragmatics ($5.99) (These are picture cards that ask questions related to pragmatic situations such as, “You smell smoke, what should you do?”  The app includes 52 pictures and data collection.)

WH questions at School ($5.99) (Similar to Practicing Pragmatics, this app includes 56 picture cards that ask pragmatic questions about happenings in school such as, “Why are morning announcements important?”)

Understanding Inferences ($5.99) (This app includes 52 picture cards with question prompts such as, “Bill is sick.  His mom is taking him to the ___”)
